Professional Drone Ground School training for commercial operations.
The Drone Ground School course is delivered by our approved partners DronePartners, a UK CAA recognised NQE (1117/4027), which is designed for those aspiring to become a drone pilot for commercial operations. The 3 day course covers not only the key objectives set out by the CAA, but also covers Congested Area Planning and Better Data Collection (photography fundamentals) for a more practical insight of operating as a drone pilot. You will be provided with pre-course study material and templates for writing the operations manual, so you can maximise the benefits from the course.
The CAA compliant ground school examination is closed book and consists of multiple choice questions. There is an additional flight planning assessment, which is outside of the main syllabus, but allows for first hand planning of a commercial operation for a real world scenario.
The trainers have a strong background in commercial UAV operations and a wealth of practical experience in a wide range of sectors, including filming, surveying and mapping with drones. Weather permitting, an element of the course allows for hands on training.
• UAS Airspace Operating Principles
