Practical Drone Flight Training offers new and existing drone pilots the opportunity to refine their flying abilities. This course is designed to make pilots capable of flying both safely and skillfully. As a result, it boosts the confidence of pilots who are preparing for their Practical Flight Assessment.

These assessments are critical in the journey to becoming a certified drone operator. For instance, completing a flight test is mandatory for those seeking to obtain their Permissions for Commercial Operations (PfCO) or General VLOS Certificate (GVC). Therefore, it's crucial for pilots to possess the necessary knowledge and skills to successfully pass their practical exams.

Course Overview:

Students are given 4 hour sessions, from 0900 – 1300. Students can book longer sessions at an additional cost. Please reach out to use if you want to book longer sessions.

The training begins with fundamental aspects of planning and preparing for a drone flight. It also encompasses in-flight procedures and post-flight debriefings.

The course offers pilots the chance to practice flying in a controlled environment under the guidance of highly qualified instructors. With limited enrollment, the course ensures personalized attention, allowing participants to raise any questions or concerns.

This hands-on training will take place at iRed’s specialized flying center in West Sussex. Participants must come prepared with suitable clothing and gear for an outdoor training day. The course is subject to suitable weather conditions for drone flights and dates may be adjusted accordingly.
